Opening Night at Sac’s Place

This past Saturday night, APAC celebrated the opening of our fall mainstage The Cottage. After a long two weeks of tech, dress rehearsals and previews, we finally reached one of the most fun parts of working in theatre…the opening night party!

The cast and some of our audience gathered for the opening night party. With wonderful food and drinks flowing, a great time was had by all. Here are some pictures from the opening night party, taken by APAC supporter Matt Baker, The Drunken Photographer. You can see the rest of the album by liking our Facebook page HERE.

For the past few years, Sac’s Place in Astoria has hosted APAC’s opening night parties, and is also on our Recommended Restaurant List. An intimate, Italian restaurant family-owned and operated by brothers Anthony and Domenico Sacramone, Sac’s has been a neighborhood staple in Astoria for years. Many of the dishes on the menu are treasured secrets of their mother, Maddalena. Famous for their coal oven pizza, you’ll also love the extensive wine list and daily specials (including Momma’s delicious lasagna!).

Sac’s is a great place to get a delicious meal before or after seeing The Cottage, and it’s really close to our theatre. Simply get off the train one stop early (at Broadway), and you’ll find Sac’s at the corner of 29th/Broadway. From there, it’s a 7 minute walk to APAC (ask the employees at Sac’s—they’ll help you with walking directions!).
