A cheap motel in Joshua is the setting for a weekend of soul-searching and pillow fights when four strangers attend a women’s spiritual conference in the desert. The women: Andromeda, a low-rent relationship guru trying to break into the lucrative world of high-end self-help; Sage, her teenage daughter dragged along against her will; Margo, the party girl; and Paula the neurotic mess (who freaks out  if anyone touches her things).

Heartbreak Help opened in June of 1996 at The CAST Theatre. It was produced by Andy Daley and Diana Gibson. It was directed by Justin Tanner. The cast featured Laurel Green, Ellen Ratner, Carol Ann Susi, and Pamela Segall-Adlon. It closed in April 1998. It was revived for a short run in the Summer of 1999.

This program is supported in part by the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs and the Dramatist Guild Fund.
