Update from APAC – Billy Witch Schedule Changes in Aftermath of Hurricane Sandy

First, please know that everyone at APAC is concerned about our friends, especially those without power and those who lost property and are facing challenging recoveries from this unprecedented storm.
This week, the Astoria community, including its elected officials and other community leaders, have gone above-and-beyond to minimize damage and communicate with the public in real time. Special thanks to Councilman Peter Vallone Jr., Assembly Member Aravella Simotas, Senator Michael Gianaris, and Council Member Jimmy Van Bramer. The compassion and generosity displayed by Astorians is no surprise to us.
As you know, we had planned to open our fall play, Billy Witch, this week. The storm and related transportation challenges have interrupted Billy Witch’s rehearsal schedule. For this reason, we have decided to cancel Thursday’s performance, Friday’s performance, and the Saturday matinee (at 2:00pm). We will keep you posted if there are further schedule changes. We’re proud of this show, and hope that you will see it when we open.
