APAC Mainstage

APAC's current mainstage production is Lillian Hellman's The Children's Hour, directed by Jessi D. Hill.  It opened on May 21st and will run for three weekends, before closing on June 7th.   Performances are Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 8:00pm and Sundays at 6:00pm.

At the beginning of this season, we collaborated with the TaDa Theater Company during the 6th round of our Summer Stars program. We are currently producing a junior musical at I.S. 10: Disney's Beauty & the Beast.  

Senior Stars

Senior Stars

APAC was early to recognize the need for more cultural programming for senior citizens.  In 2005, we launched a performance program for Queens residents over the age of 60: Senior Stars. The 2009 Senior Stars will take the stage on June 20th in Those Were the Days: A Return to Vaudeville .

Welcome

The Astoria Performing Arts Center, Inc., a not-for-profit organization, was founded in 2001 to bring high quality theatre and entertainment to Astoria/Long Island City and to support local youth and senior citizens. We are a professional theatre company that complements award-winning mainstage programming with dedicated community outreach efforts.

We're having a party.

Join us in celebrating the Astoria Performing Arts Center's successful eighth season which included The 15/20s, Ragtime, and The Children's Hour, as well as the continuation of our community programs. We're ready to celebrate and are hosting a party at LIC Bar. A $10 donation to APAC at the door will get you $3 beers and $5 cocktails all evening. We hope to see all of our friends, supporters, and wonderful people who we've worked with this year!
