A Musical by William Finn

A comical musical about a composer named Gordan who faces a dramatic health crisis. At the time when he is struck by illness, he is reluctantly composing a song for a children's television show featuring a frog (Mr. Bungee).  The specter of this large green character and the unfinished work haunts him throughout his medical ordeal.  Gordan learns to appreciate life's precious moments, and finds new inspiration to compose the songs he yearns to produce

-the future of musical theatre

This fall, we conducted our first-ever search for composers of original works of musical theatre.  In partnership with the New York Musical Theatre Festival, we presented a selection of new songs at Mezzo Mezzo in Astoria on September 15TH, 16TH and 17th.

Once again, Astoria’s youth wowed us!  For the fourth year in a row, a group of 4th-8th graders went through weeks of music and dance rehearsals before taking the community on a trip through the ages with BROADWAY TIME MACHINE!
