Announcing auditions for the 4th year of the program!

We are inviting all Queens residents over the age of 60 to audition for this unique performance program. Seniors need only come prepared to show off their talents - be it singing, joke-telling, tap dancing, instrument-playing, or break dancing! All acts are welcome and encouraged. Those cast will have a chance to develop their talents through performance arts training, rehearsals, and ultimately professional performances for the public.

With the support of Council Member Peter Vallone Jr., the NYC Department of Aging, and Con Edison, Senior Stars is free of cost to the seniors who participate. The selected Senior Stars will work with Director Steven Smeltzer and Musical Director Dan Feyer (APAC’s Ragtime). Seven weeks of musical theatre training, rehearsing on Tuesdays from May 8th through June 16th. They will showcase their talents in two spectacular original performances for the public on Saturday, June 20t.h
