WHO's WHO at APAC

EXECUTIVE PRODUCER, Susan Scannell is an accomplished actress/singer/lyricist with television, theater and cabaret appearances to her credit. Television credits includes starring roles on Dynasty, Ryan's Hope, Search For Tomorrow, Remington Steele, The A-Team and others. As a singer/songwriter she has performed on The Merv Griffin Show and in various cabaret rooms in New York and Los Angeles. She also sang the national anthem at Shea Stadium. Her original one woman show, written with Elliot Finkel Song...Stand-Up...or Stanley? can be seen on Queens Public Television. As the Executive Producer of APAC, she is grateful as a resident of Astoria/LIC to be given this opportunity to bring high quality entertainment to the Astoria/LIC community through APAC.

ARTISTIC DIRECTOR, Brian Swasey* never expected to become the artistic director of a theatre company, but you should never say never. He has spent most of his professional career working regionally, internationally, and OFF-Broadway. Most recently, he had the opportunity to play the role of Harry Houdini in Ragtime at Maine State Music Theatre. Prior to that you could have "seen" him in the Off-Broadway production of Naked Boys Singing (yes, I was really naked). Other credits included Crazy for You, Peter Pan, A Chorus Line, She Loves Me, and international tours of West Side Story. APAC is a great opportunity for all of us involved to gain experience, improve our skills, and explore new areas, while remaining close to home. Even though home recently changed from Sunnyside, Queens to New Jersey, with Ray, two dogs, a cat, and two cars. How suburban!

ASSOCIATE PRODUCER, David Renwanz is very happy to be working with APAC. As a five year resident of Astoria David was happy to find a company so close to home where he can work and create theater for his neighbors. Thanks to Sue and Brian for believing in me, and thank you Dana for finding me this door.

MADLAND CASTING, Gina Holland* is thrilled to take on the role as Astoria Performing Arts Center's Casting Director. She was most recently seen as "Sister Amnesia" in APAC's production of Nunsense and is excited to be working on the administrative side of this fabulous theatre company. Her previous casting credits include: Musical Writers' Playground staged readings of Spoolie Girl and A Company of Women, and Nunsense here at APAC. She became interested in casting while working for a popular NY casting director and assisted in various productions while working for that office. She currently works in a production office by day, while she and her husband run their business, Madland Music & Casting. Gina is also in the process of developing a children's summer program here at APAC and want to thank Sue and Brian for giving her so many inspiring opportunities.

APAC is presented by The Presbyterian Church of Astoria as a service to the community.
